SECAR®

SECAR is the benchmark for performance in monolithic technology. SECAR Calcium Aluminate binders & additives provide reliability and performance in the most critical refractory applications around the world.
Secar

Globally trusted reference binders & additives

SECAR range is used as the principal binder in high-temperature monolithic applications. They have an alumina content varying from 40% to 80%, directly relating to their maximum temperature resistance and therefore optimum operating conditions.

Often imitated, but never duplicated, we pride ourselves on providing "best in class" alumina based minerals and performance binders to the refractory market. Thanks to its strong brand history and strong network (produced in France, UK, US, China and now in our brand new plant in India), SECAR is a reference in monolithic technology.

Our SECAR range products are used in refractory applications and concrete which combine mechanical performance with ease of installation for conventional concrete, concrete with low cement content and even with ultra-low cement content. They can be sprayed, cast under vibration or self-compacting. These cements are fully compatible with different refractory aggregates, other fillers and additives.

The SECAR range offers a number of fundamental properties that lead to better control over properties during placing and post-application features. Allowing a choice of application techniques, SECAR products provide excellent stability at very high temperatures (above 1800ºC), achievement of high mechanical strength and excellent reliability linked to good resistance to mechanical wear, thermal stress and corrosion.

The SECAR range includes SECAR® 51, SECAR® 71 & SECAR® 80 and  SECAR Plenium®. Our range of cement and binders is now supplemented by super plasticisers for refractory concretes under the brands REFPAC™ and PERAMIN®. ALAG® aggregates completely the SECAR range. They are particularly suitable for refractory and peri-refractory concrete, where strong resistance to abrasion is required. The historic CIMENT FONDU® calcium aluminates binder is well known for its properties in insulating concrete and other applications where conditions are less severe.
